Oceania shipowner orders 18 container vessels from Korean yard
HD Korea Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering (KSOE) has entered into an agreement with an undisclosed Oceania-based shipping company regarding the construction of 18 new container vessels in three different series.
Under the agreement, KSOE's subsidiaries will build four 8,400TEU ships, eight 2,800TEU ships, and six 1,800TEU ships. The four 8,400TEU ships will be built by HD Hyundai Samho while the remaining 14 ships will be constructed by HD Hyundai Mipo.
