France's Naval Group and Egyptian Navy extend fleet support contract

Naval Group has signed a five-year extension to its in-service support (ISS) contract with the Egyptian Navy. The company said the agreement renews a partnership in force since 2019 focused on fleet availability.

Under the contract, teams of engineers and technicians will maintain seven vessels: the multi-mission frigate (FREMM) Tahya Misr, the two Mistral-class landing helicopter docks (LHD) Gamal Abdel Nasser and Anwar El Sadat, and the four Gowind corvettes El Fateh, Port Said, El Moez, and Al Ismailia.
