CMA CGM and Maersk realign SEAS3/ASAS2 Far East–East Coast South America service

CMA CGM and A.P. Moller – Maersk have announced a realignment of their joint SEAS3/ASAS2 service connecting the Far East with the East Coast of South America.

Under the revised configuration, the partners will add Hong Kong and Itajaí to the service rotation, while removing the Vietnamese port of Ho Chi Minh City (Cai Mep). The service is operated with 11 vessels averaging around 7,000 TEU.

The updated rotation will be as follows:

Shanghai – Hong Kong – Shenzhen (Shekou) – Singapore – Santos – Itajaí – Singapore – Shanghai

The adjustment is aimed at refining port coverage and optimizing network efficiency on the Far East–East Coast South America trade lane.
