Hapag-Lloyd suspends IG1 and KWF services amid Middle East security risks

Hapag-Lloyd has announced the temporary suspension of its IG1 and KWF services due to the worsening security situation in the Upper Gulf region, which continues to disrupt vessel movements and port operations.

Services Suspended from March 6, 2026

Effective March 6, 2026, and until further notice, both services will be suspended as carriers respond to operational and security constraints affecting shipping routes in the region.

The suspended services include:

  • IG1 Service

  • KWF Service

The decision comes as maritime operations across.
