CMA CGM has officially resumed all EXPORT and IMPORT bookings for Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.This update follows the March 3rd suspension and provides immediate solutions for global trade.To maintain service, the carrier now utilizes a network of land bridges and feeder services to navigate current regional constraints.

Reopening of Middle East Export and Import Bookings

CMA CGM is officially reopening all export and import bookings for Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.This update follows the March 3rd suspension.To maintain service, the carrier is using specific multimodal solutions including land bridges and feeder networks.

Export Booking Solutions

The carrier is offering several corridors to move cargo from the region to global destinations.

  • Sohar Corridor: Serves Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain via feedering to Khalifa and a bonded land bridge to Sohar.Local UAE exports move via land bridge to Sohar.

  • Jeddah Corridor: Connects Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Dammam using feedering or trucks to reach a bonded land bridge to Jeddah.

  • Aqaba and Mersin Corridors: Provides land bridge options for Iraq shipments, moving south to Aqaba or north to Mersin.

  • Merchant Haulage: Customers can also choose to manage their own haulage directly from Jeddah and Sohar ports.

Import Booking Solutions

Imports have resumed for the same six countries using these primary gateways

  • Jeddah Corridor: Utilizes a bonded land bridge from Jeddah combined with feeder vessels or trucks to reach Dammam, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and the UAE.

  • UAE Local Cargo: Cargo for Khalifa and Jebel Ali moves via bonded land bridge from Khor Fakkan, Fujairah, or Sohar.

  • Upper Gulf Countries: Shipments travel via land bridge from Khor Fakkan, Fujairah, or Sohar to UAE hubs, followed by feeder services to KSA, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Iraq.

    Additional Operational Information

These solutions apply to dry, frozen, and in-gauge cargo.While carrier haulage depends on space availability, merchant haulage remains an option at major hubs. Please contact your local representative for specific booking assistance.
