DHL expands North America network for data center logistics growth
DHL Expands Its North America Logistics Infrastructure Amid Growing Global Demand for Data Center Logistics Services

DHL Supply Chain is expanding its data center logistics network in North America. The company will add 10 dedicated sites and more than 7 million sq ft of capacity in 2026.

The new facilities target rising demand from hyperscalers and colocation operators. They will offer white-glove handling, rack pre-configuration and specialized transport.

White-glove services protect sensitive equipment. Teams handle servers and power systems under strict conditions. This reduces damage and delays. Rack configuration moves testing off-site. It speeds up installation and lowers risks.

Operators face tight schedules and complex supply chains. Many source equipment from Asia and deploy it across North America and Europe. This increases pressure on logistics.

Hendrik Venter, Global CEO of DHL Supply Chain, said the company is scaling to match AI-driven demand. He highlighted North America as a key market.

Research shows 85% of operators want a single logistics partner. Only 43% have one today. This points to strong demand for integrated solutions.

The expansion also strengthens links with DHL Global Forwarding. The unit provides multimodal transport, customs support and heavy-lift services.

Oscar de Bok, Global CEO, said data center logistics requires speed, security and precision. He noted growing demand for coordinated global transport.

DHL aims to position itself as a single end-to-end partner. The goal is faster deployment and more resilient infrastructure.
