APM-Hateco win bid for new container terminal in Vietnam’s Danang
APM Terminals and Hateco have been awarded a joint tender from the Vietnamese government to develop a new container terminal in Danang.

APM Terminals and Vietnamese terminal operator Hateco have been awarded a joint tender from the Vietnamese government to develop a new container terminal in Danang.

The US$1.7 billion project, Lien Chieu Container Port, will have an annual capacity of 5.7 million TEU upon completion around 2036.

Clinching the bid follows APMT’s purchase last week, of a 49% stake in the Hateco Haiphong International Container Terminal, which operates berths 5 and 6 at Haiphong’s Lach Huyen port area.
