CMA CGM introduces peak season surcharge from Europe to Australia and New Zealand
CMA CGM will introduce a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) on shipments from Europe to Australia and New Zealand.
The surcharge will apply from 1 June 2026 (loading date) until further notice.
Scope and routes
The PSS covers:
- Services: NEMO (NEWMO), PAD (RTWPAN), and relay services via Asia
- Origin regions: North Europe, Poland, Scandinavia, Baltic, Mediterranean, Adriatic, Black Sea, and North Africa
- Destinations: Australia and New Zealand
- Cargo: all types.
Surcharge levels
CMA CGM set the following rates:
- USD 350 per TEU on direct services to Australia
- USD 200 per TEU on relay services via Asia to Australia
- USD 200 per TEU on all shipments to New Zealand.
Contract terms
The surcharge applies to all contracts with a validity of up to three months.
CMA CGM said the measure supports service reliability and efficiency during the peak shipping season.
