Greece’s Tsakos Shipping and Trading shared a photo in the social media of the delivery and naming ceremony of its newly build suezmax crude oil carrier and the naming ceremony of another vessel, which took place in South Korea few days ago.
It was a special day for the shipowner who celebrated the delivery of its newly built ships.
The newest entries in the expanding TEN fleet form part of a broader strategic newbuilding program, which currently includes 19 vessels under construction.
Delivered and named in South Korea on June 5, the suezmax crude oil carrier DR Irene Tsakos and the Silia T, are the latest newbuildings the company has welcomed into its fleet.
The company celebrated the naming ceremony of its second vessel Silia T on the same day in South Korea.
“This program underscores our ongoing commitment to delivering next-generation, technologically advanced tankers that address the evolving needs of global energy transportation and complex logistics, in close partnership with leading energy clients worldwide,” the shipowner said in a social media post.
