CMA CGM launches new service linking Far East and East Africa

Starting in August, CMA CGM is set to launch a new Far East–East Africa service named Kilima Xpress, aimed at strengthening trade links between China and East Africa.
The service will deploy eight vessels with capacities ranging from 3,500 to 5,000 TEUs, offering a direct and efficient connection between Asian manufacturing hubs and key East African ports, as DynaLiners reported.
The planned rotation is:
Shanghai (China) – Ningbo (China) – Guangzhou (Nansha, China) – Singapore – Colombo (Sri Lanka) – Mombasa (Kenya) – Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) – Colombo – Singapore – Shanghai.
With Kilima Xpress, CMA CGM enhances its presence on the growing China–East Africa trade corridor, supporting regional development and providing additional capacity and frequency for exporters and importers across these markets.
