Finnlines adds Gdynia to weekly North Sea service from Bilbao

Finnlines is expanding its weekly service from the Port of Bilbao to the North Sea by adding the Polish port of Gdynia to its rotation.

The new port call will be effective starting the week of 26 June, with sailings scheduled every Saturday.

The enhanced service improves freight connections between Northern and Western Europe and provides direct access to Finnlines’ and Grimaldi Group’s broader global network, enabling cargo flow to and from Ireland, the UK, Norway, Sweden, as well as long-haul destinations in North and South America, West Africa, and the Far East.

Updated Route Includes: Zeebrugge and Antwerp (Belgium), Helsinki and Kotka (Finland), Travemünde and Lübeck (Germany), Gdynia (Poland) – added from 26 June 2025

Andima Ormaetxe Bengoa, Director of Operations, Sales and Logistics at the Port Authority of Bilbao, commented  that at the Port of Bilbao, they are advancing investments in quay electrification to foster cleaner and more competitive supply chains aligned with European climate goals.
