Unifeeder to resume Egypt–Syria trade

According to DynaLiners, Unimed Feeder Services (Unifeeder) will restart sailings between Egypt and Syria next month. Details on the ships and schedules are yet to be confirmed.
Trade with Syria has surged since the collapse of the Assad regime at the end of last year. In July 2024, there were 21 traceable ship calls to Syria. By July 2025, that number jumped to 92, according to Lloyd’s List.
Some analysts note that 2024 figures may be underestimated, as certain ships may have switched off their Automatic Identification System (AIS) during visits.
Unifeeder’s move reflects growing demand and the recovery of regional trade links between Egypt and Syria.
