Euroseas orders additional containerships

Euroseas has signed contracts for the construction of two modern, fuel-efficient 4,300 TEU containerships at Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding in China.

The vessels are scheduled for delivery in March and May 2028. Each ship will cost approximately US$59.25 million, with financing arranged through a mix of debt and equity.

This latest order follows the company’s decision in October 2024 to commission two sisterships of the same size and design, underscoring Euroseas’ strategy of fleet renewal and expansion.

Aristides Pittas, Chairman and CEO of Euroseas, said that these new vessels will position them to capture future market opportunities while strengthening their ability to deliver value to shareholders well beyond the next few years, which are already secured through existing charter agreements.
