PIL launches new Korea–China–Indonesia service

Pacific International Lines (PIL) is set to strengthen its intra-Asia network with the launch of a new weekly Korea–China–Indonesia (KCI) service. The service will begin on 13 October 2025, starting from Busan.

The new loop provides direct connections from Korea and central China to Indonesia, while also calling at Vietnam. It follows the recent launch of PIL’s North China Indonesia (NCI) service and reflects the carrier’s strategy to grow its coverage in Asia.

“Asia will continue to play a pivotal role in international trade,” said Rita Wong, General Manager of Intra-Asia Services at PIL. “The KCI Service is designed to support customers by improving transit times, strengthening connections, and delivering more value across the region.”

The new service comes at a time of rising intra-Asia trade volumes and evolving customer needs. PIL said the expanded network will help support sustainable growth along one of the world’s busiest trade corridors.

The KCI ports of call are: Busan – Incheon – Shanghai – Ningbo – Jakarta – Semarang – Ho Chi Minh City – Busan.
