Greta Shipping and Hapag-Lloyd merge ME–ISC feeder loops

Greta Shipping and Hapag-Lloyd are set to combine their Middle East–Indian Subcontinent (ME–ISC) feeder services in mid-December, merging the previously separate Jebel Ali–Karachi Express (JKX) operated by Greta Shipping and Hapag-Lloyd’s Kuwait Feeder (KWF).

According to DynaLiners, the consolidation will see the Kuwait Feeder gain Karachi as an additional port of call, with the service continuing as a joint operation. The two carriers had already been exchanging slots since mid-2025, when the parallel services were first established.

Under the new setup, the merged loop will be operated by three vessels with an average capacity of around 2,600 TEU. Hapag-Lloyd will deploy two vessels, while Greta Shipping will contribute one.

The revised service rotation will call at Jebel Ali, Kandla, Karachi, Jebel Ali, Shuaiba, Shuwaikh, before returning to Jebel Ali.

The move is expected to streamline operations and improve capacity utilisation across the ME–ISC trade lane.
