CMA CGM has introduced emergency operational measures for shipments to and from several Middle East countries.

CMA CGM has introduced emergency operational measures for shipments to and from several Middle East countries due to the evolving security situation in the region.

The measures apply to cargo linked to Iraq (Umm Qasr), Bahrain, Kuwait, Yemen, Qatar, Oman, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, and may include vessel deviations to contingency ports.

Customers will be asked to provide instructions for onward cargo handling, including delivery at the contingency port, inland transport by road or rail, or a change of destination to another port, with all related costs and applicable surcharges borne by the cargo interests.
