Everllence secures contract to supply compression technology
Everllence has been awarded a contract to provide two RB compressor skids for Thailand's first Carbon Capture and Storage project.

Everllence has been awarded a contract to provide two RB compressor skids for Thailand’s first Carbon Capture and Storage project, supporting PTT Exploration and Production’s operations at the Arthit gas field in the Gulf of Thailand.

The installation will enable PTTEP to capture and store up to one million tonnes of CO₂ per year, with offshore storage operations scheduled to commence in 2028.

The Arthit CCS initiative represents Thailand’s first large-scale deployment of carbon capture technology and has been designated a flagship greenhouse gas reduction project under the country’s Nationally Determined Contribution Action Plan on Mitigation for the period 2021 to 2030.

Everllence’s scope of supply comprises two compressor trains based on radial barrel-type compressors configured for CO₂ handling and reinjection, driven by gas turbines from Solar Turbines and delivered as an integrated solution.

The contract also includes comprehensive dynamic process simulation to optimise operational efficiency across the compressor systems.

The equipment is designed for high reliability in demanding offshore environments and is configured for seamless integration into PTTEP’s existing infrastructure at the Arthit field.

Daniel Schmidli, Head of Sales Industries for Southeast Asia at Everllence, described CO₂ capture and storage as an increasingly indispensable tool for reducing emissions in gas production, and framed the Arthit project as an important regional precedent.

Luntharima Somchit, Sales and Business Development Manager at Everllence Thailand, highlighted the close collaboration with PTTEP throughout the project development phase, noting that local engagement would remain central as the project moves into execution.

Markus Hons, Branch Manager Thailand at Everllence, emphasised the suitability of the radial barrel compressor configuration for stable long-term CO₂ compression in the offshore setting.
