Uber Freight invests in last mile with Better Trucks partnership
Uber Freight has announced an expanded commercial partnership with last-mile delivery platform Better Trucks.

Uber Freight has announced an expanded commercial partnership with last-mile delivery platform Better Trucks, including a strategic investment aimed at strengthening its end-to-end logistics offering.

The collaboration will allow Uber Freight to leverage Better Trucks’ technology, operational capabilities and delivery network to expand its last-mile delivery services. Through the partnership, Uber Freight customers will be able to extend shipments directly from stores or fulfillment centers to consumers’ doorsteps with improved efficiency, real-time visibility and increased reliability.

The move supports the continued expansion of Uber Freight’s End-to-End Logistics platform, a technology-driven solution designed to integrate shipping operations from first-mile procurement to final delivery.

The partnership also strengthens Uber’s broader last-mile strategy across its delivery ecosystem, which includes Uber Eats, Uber Direct and Uber Freight.

Better Trucks’ platform will provide several key capabilities to Uber Freight’s logistics network. These include a connected technology ecosystem with open API architecture integrating more than 50 logistics and e-commerce platforms, enabling smoother data flow and collaboration across supply chains.

The company also offers advanced sortation technology that will support Uber Freight operations at seven sortation centers, helping improve operational efficiency and expand delivery coverage.

In addition, Better Trucks provides address validation and geocoding technology that converts delivery addresses into precise geographic coordinates, improving routing accuracy and delivery reliability.

The partnership comes as the U.S. last-mile parcel delivery market continues to evolve rapidly due to the expansion of e-commerce and increasing consumer expectations for faster and more flexible deliveries.

With the added capacity from Better Trucks, Uber Freight’s asset-light logistics network now covers approximately 68 percent of the U.S. population.

“This strategic investment will allow us to immediately enhance our delivery solutions for shippers,” said Rebecca Tinucci, CEO of Uber Freight.

“Better Trucks’ track record in efficient, tech-driven solutions, combined with their expanding network, enables us to offer our customers unparalleled speed and flexibility,” she added.

Andy Whiting, Co-Founder and CEO of Better Trucks, said the collaboration will help scale the company’s logistics capabilities.

“This partnership and investment bring new scale and opportunity to what we have always done: serve shippers from the distribution center to the doorstep,” said Whiting.

“Our shared vision for a more intelligent and efficient logistics network is at the heart of this collaboration,” he added.

The companies said the partnership comes at a time when the logistics industry is preparing for peak holiday demand, highlighting Uber Freight’s effort to provide shippers with additional capacity, technology and operational support.
